Your Role
As a key member of our team, you will lead the provision of an effective Assurance service, offering independent assurance opinions to the Executive and Greater Manchester Combined Authority. You will manage a small team to develop and deliver a range of assurance activities that support the successful delivery of projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and agreeing assurance plans, leading Gateway reviews, supporting team delivery and development, and providing robust assurance reporting.
Who We Are
You will be part of the Audit, Risk, and Assurance team, reporting to the Head of Risk and Assurance. We are a small, supportive team that values collaboration and has been recognised with a 2-star rating in our recent Best Companies staff survey. You will work with colleagues at all levels across TfGM, GMCA, and local authorities.
Your work will make a real difference in supporting the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects, including cycling and walking infrastructure, new interchanges, light and heavy rail, bus route enhancements, and highways schemes.

This is a permanent position in a well-established team, with a salary of £70,907 – £79,805 per annum depending on skills and experience
You will be working closely with a range of specialists from different areas and organisations, with the varied workload helping you to further develop your skills, experience and knowledge.
