The role
As Head of Finance for our Group Services, this is a senior role within our Finance team and you will be looking after functions such as IT and HR. To cover a maternity leave, we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, and be with us for 12 months on a FTC. The role will require you to partner with D and C-suite individuals and their wider teams, be heavily involved in business planning, and in some of the smaller functions you will be quite involved in the day to day Accounting and Finance.
Reporting into the Group Finance Director, with key relationships with several EXCO stakeholders, and their wider teams, the role holder is required to provide of a comprehensive and professional financial support function.
A crucial element of the role will be the improvement of financial processes and reporting across Group Services to high standards, supported by the wider team.
The role will also work closely with the wider MAG finance team to ensure a collaborative and seamless approach to consolidating results and performance reporting, building business plans and forecasts, and share best practice across divisions.
What will make you successful in the role?
We are looking for a qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE. Ideally you will have successful extensive business finance partnering experience in organisation with revenue management focus. Any experience of a larger matrix style, multi-site organisation would also be very helpful. You will need to be able to build relationships with all levels of stakeholders, but especially C-Suite level, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
We are also looking for you to be able to demonstrate career development of self and others (awareness and application of best practice), have the ability to prioritise workload and work to challenging deadlines and finally have commitment to continuous improvement and establishing best in class processes.
We operate a hybrid working policy, meaning you will be needed in the office, at Manchester Airport, for 3 days per week.
