The role:

As a Principle Electrical  Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the group-wide technical standards, focusing on essential infrastructure such as boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.

You will work with third party consultants and contractors to provide technical design assurance, commission studies and provide technical solutions that align with the business objectives and whole life cost optimisation.

You will also provide subject matter expertise and support the Asset Maintenance and development  teams across the Group to evaluate the asset base’s condition and performance, pinpoint risks and opportunities, enhance our asset management practices within MAG, and seek out industry-leading solutions for asset systems management. If you desire a significant and dynamic position that merges technical proficiency, strategic acumen, and a focus on the customer experience, this opportunity is perfect for you.

What will make you successful in the role?

To be a successful Principal Engineer, you need a degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline, preferably with Chartered Engineer Status or working towards it. You also need at least five years of experience in building services projects and possess the skills to develop and implement strategies, synthesise information, and communicate and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Advising various stakeholders on pertinent British standards and best practice is expected of you in this role, which will necessitate self-motivation and a commitment to staying current with the most recent legislative changes and technological developments in the industry.
